The Broadland district Youth Advisory Board (YAB) has £10,000 available to fund activities for young people over the summer holidays. There is a maximum of £1000 available per group and all activities must be delivered in Broadland to young people aged 11-25.

“The activities can be sporty, arty, one offs, trips, new experiences, tournaments or anything young people would like to get involved in – use your imagination and let’s make this a fantastic summer for the young people of Broadland,” said Louise Hampton, Youth and Community Worker (YAB), YMCA.

The Youth Advisory Board is a group of young people and professionals in Broadland who want to fund projects that will make a difference to the lives of young people.

Broadland District Council’s Young People’s Champion, Councillor Ben McGilvray said: “The long break in the summer can seem very long, especially if friends are off on family holidays and parents are working. This is a chance to create interesting activities which make the best use of this free time.”

All applications need to be in by July 14th and groups will find out soon after if they have been successful.  Email louisehampton@ymca-norfolk.org.uk or call/text 07894 566615 for more details and an application form.
