Bill LeGrice Roses has been awarded a gold medal for their stand at this year’s prestigious RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. The well-known Norfolk rose grower, whose Rose Shop & Plant Centre is based at Wroxham Barns in Hoveton, was presented a Gold Rose Exhibit Award for his cut garden roses in the Roses & Floristry Vintage Festival section of the Show.

Commenting on the gold medal, a delighted Bill Le Grice said: “It’s fantastic when it comes together like this and it makes all the effort worthwhile. We’ve had so many customers coming up to congratulate us; it’s been lovely. Everyone has put on such a tremendous display and to be awarded a gold medal is a great thrill. We do try to give a good range of roses for people to see, and a sweetly-scented lilac rose called Dream Lover formed the backdrop of our stand this year, with other roses including the big, blousy, pale pink Special Anniversary rose and Double Delight, a spectacular, highly-scented, cream and red rose.
We were trying to give a hint of vintage, of picnics and days gone by, and we also used items such as a summer hat, teapot and tea cup, vintage picture frame and vintage heart to convey that.”
