Teenage girl assaulted in Sprowston

Police in Sprowston are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was tripped as she walked home.

The incident happened on Tuesday 4 March at about 8.20pm as the 17-year-old victim walked along an alleyway between Wroxham Road and Church Lane while listening to music with headphones.

A man ran past her before turning around running back towards her, tripping her up in the process.

The suspect, who is described as white, 5ft 5, of average build and clean shaven, ran off towards Wroxham Road after the incident. He was wearing a black zip-up jacket which had a yellow mark near the collar and dark jeans.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or noticed a man fitting the description in the area.
