Young Scout leaders Harry Gillingwater and Callum Hall are gearing up for their first charity event to raise money for a big adventure.

They will be running a stall on Saturday in Aylsham Market Place selling homemade cakes along with plastic ducks for a race on Sunday at Buxton Mill, 5.15pm.

The winner of the Duck Race will win a Virgin Celebration Balloon Flight with Champagne and a chocolate and Cava hamper.

The pair have been selected to be volunteers with the International Service Team (IST) for the UK contingent at the 23rd World Scout Jamboree next year in Yamaguchi City in Japan.

With leaders attending the Jamboree from across the globe, Harry and Callum made it to the lucky few that have been selected to run the activities for the 30,000 Scouts who will be attending.

The 1st Buxton Lams Sea Scout Group is also lucky enough to have Scout Joseph Richards attending the Jamboree.
Callum’s mum Julia said: “They all now need to fund raise to help them realise what will be a trip of a lifetime for them all.”
