REVIEW: The Cromer Christmas Show 2015
The Cromer Christmas Show opening night on Saturday at The Pavilion Theatre was a feast for the senses.
Cromer Pier, which was named Pier of the Year for 2015, is home to the only show of its kind in Europe, and what a show it is.
With regular Olly Day as the compere, the audience was kept laughing throughout the show. The Seaside Special dancers were superb and the performance of the Snow Ballet was truly magical. Magician Steve Zebs performed some very clever magic tricks with simple props.
Steve is also a comedian and worked seamlessly alongside Olly. The sketch they performed together, Elf Yourself A Merry Christmas, was absolutely hilarious and performed with skill.
No show is complete without two vocalists, Keith Pemberton, who has a very rich voice and Lulu Alexandra a very versatile and talented performer. Together they performed the duet Somewhere Only We Know, which was the vocal highlight of the evening.
The pupils of the Marlene School of Dance gave an enchanting performance. The stage sets and scenery throughout are of a very high standard and are brimfull of magic and sparkle along with the costumes and happy faces of the performers. it all goes to make up a wonderful show and a fantastic start to the Christmas season.
It’s a show for everyone to enjoy. Catch it until December 30.
