Trampolining, football, roller skating, pirates, capture the flag, dodgeball and an activity day are all on offer this coming half term for youngsters seeking active fun.

The activities will be held at North Walsham Sports Centre, run by North Norfolk District Council, from Tuesday, May 31, to Friday, June 3.

Trampolining is suitable for five to 12 year olds. Other events are for seven to 12 year olds, except roller skating which is open to all ages.

The sessions are priced from £2.50 and details, prices and booking can be found at  or in brochures which are distributed to local schools.

There will be no activities at Cromer Sports Centre over the half term as the team there is joined by the British Judo Council for their annual convention once again, a tradition dating back more than 20 years.

North Norfolk District Council has also organised events for children at Holt Country Park and Pretty Corner Woods over half term. Children must be with an adult at all times and wellingtons and outdoor clothes are recommended. Prices range from £1 to £3 per child, booking is not required.

There will be pond dipping and a mini beast hunt at Pretty Corner on Tuesday, May 31, from 10am to noon. Meet at Holway Road car park.

At Holt Country Park, there will be a teddy bear toddler trail on Wednesday, June 1, 10am to noon; sculpture building the same day 2pm to 3pm; a spider recording challenge on Thursday, June 2, 10am to 11.30am; and wildlife art the same day 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

Don’t forget Challenge 22, which will be held in the summer holidays at North Walsham Sports Centre. For the 22nd year there will be a whole week of fun games, sports and activities, culminating in an adventure activity trip.

The £90 week-long event will be held from August 8 to 12 and is suitable for six to 14 year olds.
