Sharing carnival’s glories

Unfortunately, this year’s Cromer Carnival has been cancelled in the interest of public safety due to covid-19 – but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy a taste of it in our own homes.

North-Norfolk born artist Samuel Thomas shared some of his paintings of the coast with us a couple of weeks ago and is now sharing some works which celebrate the glory and nostalgia of 50 years of Cromer Carnivals to keep us going until its return in 2021.

The Red Arrows, the pier, the sunshine… you could almost be there.

“There is joy and wonder to be had in our everyday, we just need to learn to see it,” said Samuel.

You can see more of his local artworks at www.samuelthomasart.co.uk to share them with family and friends who are unable to visit at the moment and need a little escapism.
