Alfie Clarke didn’t ask for a lot for his fourth birthday – just a visit from a tractor.

And when agricultural machinery retailer Ben Burgess saw his plea in Just Aylsham, they know what to do.

And on his birthday, a John Deere tractor – Alfie’s favourite make – pulled up outside his Aylsham home.

His mum, Becky, said: “He is obsessed with tractors and wants to be able to drive a John Deere when he gets bigger.”

The birthday boy got to sit in the cab and have a good look round the vehicle, which was decorated with balloons and birthday banners.

He was also presented with a pair of branded overalls and a cap to make the experience complete.

“Ben Burgess went out of their way to bring his favourite make of tractor, a John Deere, to see him,” said Becky. “He absolutely loved the surprise and that it was decorated just for him. He is tractor obsessed and he is truly missing normality, like I’m sure a lot of others are.

“We love the community spirit in Aylsham and have never felt so at home and are truly overwhelmed with what was done for our son.”

The tractor was decorated with balloons and banners, and Alfie – pictured with mum Becky, sister Hollie and dad Chris – even had a special outfit for the occasion.
