Children who are still attending Sparhawk Infant and Nursery School, in Sprowston, have put up a colourful “thank you” to all the key workers.

Headteacher Emma Davies said: “Throughout these last few weeks, Sparhawk school has had to play a very different role within the community. We have embraced each day and tried to make it as enjoyable as possible for the children and staff we have attending.”

She said that rainbows had become a daily theme, with teachers coming up with new creative ideas to keep the children busy and they have created a rainbow made of handprints to show their gratitude to the key workers.

Emma added: “Staff are as positive as ever but are certainly missing the children and the normal Sparhawk buzz! Fingers crossed we will soon be reunited.”
