Archer Mel hits the target
Double Paralympic medal-winning archer Mel Clarke has paid a visit to Taverham Youth Club and got them fired up about the upcoming games.

Mel, who won bronze in 2008 and silver in 2012, spent the time telling young people a little about her journey to Team GB, including her national and international successes and the world records she holds.
They were able to hold the torch and take a look at Mel’s medals as part of the club’s Pathway to Paris activity.
Matthew Crowe, YMCA Norfolk project lead (youth clubs), pictured here with Mel, said: “We are so pleased that Mel was able to spare her time to speak with the young people of Taverham.
“We always strive to provide opportunities to help young people realise their ambitions and reach their goals, and Mel was an inspiration!
“She even brought along her medals and the Olympic torch, which the young people found fascinating.”
Over the summer holidays, the club is running on Wednesday evenings and would love to welcome new members.
