Rachael Simons lost her hair last night, all in the name of charity.

Rachael, who lives in Aylsham, decided to have her locks shorn to raise money for a charity close to her heart – The Community Sports Foundation’s Sporting Light Appeal.

Cheered on by her friends and family, Rachael had her head shaved in the Unicorn public house by landlady and hairdresser Helen Colebroke.

Rachael said afterwards: “It was an Incredible night last night, I’m totally overwhelmed by the support. I’m not sure of the total amount raised yet as there is still some money to come in, but after setting an initial target of £300, my online page currently stands at £400, plus £300 was raised last night alone on the raffle. With other donations still to come in we are pushing £1,000.
