Organisers of Last Night of the Blickling Proms are giving Norfolk concert-goers a license to thrill on the evening of 10th August. The best-dressed Bond Girl or Villain attending the outdoor concert which is celebrating “50 Years of Bond”, will win a magnum of champagne to be presented at the interval by conductor Roderick Dunk.

The role of Bond Girl has evolved through history, from bikini-clad eye-candy to glamorous, armed female agents – but it has always remained one of the most iconic roles in film.  These girls have become members of one of the most exclusive groups in film business so there’s plenty of scope to choose from.  So whether you decide to go for “Pussy Galore”, “Honey Rider” or perhaps the more demure “Vesper Lynd” from Casino Royale, your efforts may be rewarded with a magnum of champagne!  For the boys, tuxedos are too easy, so the challenge is to find the best-dressed villain.  With over 20 films released through five decades, the James Bond series has had more than its fair share of great villains, perhaps the most iconic and memorable being the quintessentially larger than life bad guy “Jaws”, the effortless charming “Francisco Scaramanga” with his 3rd nipple or perhaps bodyguard “Oddjob”?  Take your pick and dress to thrill – it will all add to the atmosphere on the evening which is promising to be the outdoor concert of the summer!

As well as being a celebration of some fantastic music, the Grace Spitfire will be returning by popular demand to perform a breath-taking choreographed air display and the evening will be rounded off with a stunning fireworks finale over the lake.  Movie classics will be performed in the first half, including a symphonic medley of James Bond themes such as Goldfinger, Live and Let Die and Skyfall plus other cinematic classics from Titanic and Schindler’s List; the second half will be full of Proms favourites, including Rule Britannia, Jerusalem and Land of Hope & Glory.

There will be a hog roast and bar on site and Byfords hampers can be booked in advance.  Visitors are being encouraged to book tickets early as numbers will be restricted to ensure the enjoyment of those attending.  Tickets are available for £32 (group discounts available), visit www.revival-productions.co.uk or call the box office on 01263 734711 – no booking fees charged and car and coach parking on the night is FREE!!
