Between now and Christmas the Norwich SOS Bus would like to encourage ASDA shoppers of the Drayton High Road superstore to drop their green tokens into the box for the SOS Bus as part of their Green Token Scheme.

The Norwich SOS is a multi-agency initiative, managed by OPEN Youth Trust, to meet the needs of any person in Norwich at night. Providing a safe haven for the general public, it is a first point of contact for those whose well-being is threatened by an inability to get home, illness or injury, emotional distress or other vulnerability.

Harriet Davies, development officer for the SOS Bus said: “We are really pleased to be chosen as one of the charities that ASDA shoppers can support over the next three months. Every donation, no matter its size, will make a real difference to us and helps us to keep the people of Norwich safe when out in the city at night. The race is on, so please drop your token into our box the next time you shop at ASDA’s Drayton High Rd superstore.”

How the Green Token Scheme works is that every time you shop at the ASDA store you will be given a green token to put into a collection box of your choice. The winning charity will receive £500 from the ASDA Foundation and the two runner ups will receive £200 by the end of the three months.

The SOS Bus team will also be holding a collection instore within the coming weeks, giving shoppers a chance to find out more about the cause before making that all important decision.
