Corrie’s Tracy cuts the ribbon at Aylsham Redwings

Corrie baddie Tracy Barlow showed an altogether more caring side as she officially opened the Aylsham branch of Redwings today.

Actress Kate Ford chatted to visitors and happily posed for pictures with fans after cutting the ribbon to in celebration of the new facilities.

Tracey said her support of Redwings was payback for the charity caring for her own horse when it retired, which then went on to a ripe old age of 38.

“They do such a good job here and it’s amazing that they can do that relying just on donations,” she said.

Redwings press and marketing manager Nicola Markwell was delighted to see so many people at the event, which was up to around 600 people by mid afternoon.

And CEO Lynn Cutress said: “We were absolutely thrilled by the phenomenal response from the visitors. It’s a real testimony to the hard work of all the staff involved and it was fantastic to have Kate with us for the day, which gave us an extra bit of excitement.”
