Cromer Pier will be closed for public access for three days, from Sunday, February 24, to Tuesday, February 26. During this period the pier is being used as a location for a major new feature film.

The scenes being filmed involve actors dressed in Police and Paramedic Uniforms and there will also be some replica firearms in use. Blank shots will be fired but these will be infrequent and will cause minimal disturbance. Norfolk Constabulary is aware of all the filming plans and five officers will be on hand to provide reassurance to members of the public.

Some of the action will take place around Jetty Cliff, overlooking the pier, in front of the Hotel de Paris. Norfolk County Council has put a road closure order in effect for Jetty Cliff from Sunday 24 February to Wednesday 27 February at midday. The road will be closed from the junction with the High Street but access will be maintained for residents to access their properties.

On Tuesday 26 February a helicopter may be used to film some aerial footage. If so, this will be in the vicinity of the Pier for approximately one hour during the daytime. Nearby businesses and residents have been informed and access to Cromer Lifeboat Station at the end of the pier will be available at all times.
