Cringleford Veterans FC rounded off a memorable season by completing a league and cup double.
The star-studded Over 35s outfit, who lifted the Norfolk County FA Veterans Cup for the fifth time, added the One Broker Veterans’ League Premiership title as they scored a 5-0 revenge victory over runners-up Fakenham – the only team to beat them in league action this season.

The club, founded in 2007 by a group of local dads, has forged strong relationships over the years with several ex-Norwich City players, who have added some star quality to the team, managed by Ecky Limon.
The 6-1 county cup final win over Yarmouth Town at the FDC at Bowthorpe, saw ex-Canaries goalkeeper Scott Howie, midfield magician Wes Hoolahan and prolific striker Grant Holt in action.
A commanding performance saw Cringleford cruise into a 4-1 half time lead with goals from Tom Amis, Hoolahan, Shaun Wones and captain Gavin Lemmon. Jordan Blyth and Dan McKail scored after the break, crushing any hopes of a fightback by the Bloaters’, who netted through Anton Ward on the stroke of half-time.
Player of the match: Gavin Lemmon.
