Charities have reported that they are losing out during the coronavirus crisis, but a Hoveton estate agent is making sure one local charity does not suffer further.

Stobart and Hurrell regularly donates a percentage of its profit following each house sale to Nelson’s Journey, and has just pledged to double this for the rest of 2020.

Over the last three years the firm has raised more than £3,200 for the charity, which supports bereaved children and young people in Norfolk.

Peter Hurrell, director at Stobart and Hurrell, said: We are a proud supporter of Nelson’s Journey and well aware of the impact Covid-19 is having across areas of the community.  As parents, and as a socially conscious local business, we want to ensure that bereaved children and young people are able to access support when they need it.”

Nelson’s Journey funding and marketing manager Sophie Berry said: “We are extremely grateful to Stobart and Hurrell for their continued support, particularly during these challenging times. The impact of coronavirus in Norfolk is an ever-evolving situation and we must ensure our support is available to any children and young people who are affected in the county.”
