Badgers Wood Care Home residents had some flipping good fun celebrating Pancake Day.

After the chef delivered the goods a competition was held to see who could manage the most pancake tosses in one minute.

Resident Freda Buttle  said: “You are never too old to have fun tossing pancakes.  It was a really good laugh, even if mine did end up all over the floor!”.

Resident Elsie Stevenson added: “As a mother you never lose the knack!  It’s nice to carry on doing things like this, it keeps you young at heart.”

Badgers Wood Care Home offers and promotes a diverse range of social opportunities and most of these are based on feedback from the residents about what they would like to do.

Helene Smith, Social Care Lead, said: “We hold regular meetings and talk to our residents about what they would like to do.  They tell us, and we do our best to deliver.  It really is that simple.”
