Former Norwich City midfielder Cedric Anselin will be joining other Wellbeing professionals on Wednesday (June 17) for an evening discussing male mental health.

The event, which is being hosted by the NHS Wellbeing Service, will run from 7 to 9pm and can welcome 100 people. The evening will include advice and the chance to share tips, stories and services available for those who may be struggling.

The event is an informal social in a safe environment – people can just log in to listen with their camera off or join in the discussions.

Former Canaries midfielder Cedric Anselin will be taking part in a Zoom event discussing men’s mental health.

Cedric, who until recently was the manager of Norwich United and is a regular football pundit on TV and radio, is well known as an advocate for mental health and regularly gives talks and attends events on the subject.

Wellbeing – a service run by the Hellesdon-based Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust – has been running virtual events and socials during the covid-19 pandemic in place of face-to-face events and anyone is welcome to join.

Zoom sessions are moderated by a staff member in the background for safety and to make sure the sessions run smoothly. Sessions coming up include yoga, coffee and catch-up and a film club.

The full programme of events and the link to the Wellbeing event can be found on the Wellbeing website www.wellbeingnands.co.uk. Wellbeing is also active on social media so people can follow them on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to get updates on news, events, alerts and same-day appointments.
