A group of young Sheringham friends are running 10 kilometers in memory of Ellen Mezzetti who died from Epilepsy in 2006.

Ellen’s cousins Caitlin, 14, and Sophie, 13, Mezzetti wanted to organise an event to raise money for Epilepsy Research as a tribute to their cousin. Caitlin and Sophie’s family have been raising money for epilepsy since the tragic loss of Ellen.

Both are members of from North Norfolk Harriers Athletics Club, having recently got into running, and they regularly take part in the Sheringham Park Run, a 5k route through Sheringham Park.

They are being joined by their good friends and running buddies from the Harriers, which started this year at Sheringham High School.

Maggie Gentry, Madi Hewitt, Ethan Davies, Jake Armstrong, Noah Downes and Finlay Swanson, who are all members of the club, are taking part in the 10k from Sheringham Promenade near the Funky Mackerel along the coastal path towards East Runton and back again.

This will take part on Sunday, April 26, starting at 10am. The group would like support on the day so please go and watch and enjoy some of the cakes for sale on the day. The aim is to raise £500 for the charity.

You can sponsor the group at www.justgiving.com/emmf10krun or at The Beauty Box, 58c Station Road, Sheringham.
