The generous congregation at Aylsham Parish Church have given away nearly £4,000 during the last year to local, national and international charities.

The money was raised at all sorts of events and at special services.  Everything from coffee mornings and raffles to a teddy bear zip wire have helped with the effort. The Children’s Society was the biggest benefactor receiving nearly £2,000.

Vicar of Aylsham Rev Andrew Beane said: “The congregation at Aylsham are a wonderful bunch, and are so astonishingly generous, not only with their money, but also with their time and energy.”

Aylsham Parish Church is no newcomer to fundraising as its regular Monday Sale has raised thousands of pounds towards the upkeep of the church and building projects over the last 12 years.
