As a youngster, Georgie Cleaver dreamt of owning her own café.

Now, the former Aylsham High School student dreams have become reality and she can be found most weekends serving a delicious range of food and drink from her converted horsebox trailer.

Tide and Earth Coffee is a regular fixture on Saturdays and Sundays in the car park at Buxton Village Hall and has just started serving again for the new season.
Tide and Earth is also Georgie’s sustainable and handcrafted jewellery businesses and her café was launched last year.

Georgie, 23, said: “I found a horsebox trailer in desperate need of some TLC and knew it would make the perfect home for Tide and Earth Coffee. My boyfriend and his family didn’t hesitate to help me make this happen and we started renovating the trailer at their home right away. It was six weeks of learning, cups of tea, endless dirt, dust and hot weather.”

Georgie grew up in Buxton with Lammas and was keen to launch her new business in the village she knows so well.

“The support from people is completely overwhelming and it’s true that when you support local, small business you really are supporting a dream.”

Tide and Earth Coffee started serving again in early March and Georgie added: “I am so excited to be back.”

Georgie has teamed up with the SØD bakery which is supplying sweet treats, and she is also selling jars of honey from Elrics Bees.
Georgie added: “This is my first spring with the coffee trailer and, after being away for two months, I was worried that no one would come. But on the first day of reopening, despite constant cloud and drizzles of rain, customers came with nothing but kindness and eager as ever for coffee. I even sold out of bakes which was a real buzz!”

Tide and Earth Coffee will be open most Saturdays (10am-3pm) and Sundays (10am-2pm) except when Georgie is away at craft markets.
