Pupils at Gresham’s School in Holt are celebrating another successful year of A level results today, with 67.8% of pupils scoring A*- B and 97.7% of pupils passing their exams overall.

Headmaster, Douglas Robb, said, “I am immensely proud of all our pupils. The results achieved today reflect the hard work and dedication the pupils have put in over the past two years. This follows another excellent set of IB Diploma results achieved earlier in the summer. I would like to wish the Class of 2015 every happiness and success in their future studies and careers.”

The school is proud of its pupils’ success, in particular, Grace Pitkethly, from Melton Constable, who achieved two A* in Maths and Chemistry and two As in Further Maths and History; Nicholas Twyman, from Roughton, who achieved three A* in Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths and an A in Physics; and Tom Dowd, from Field Dalling, who achieved one A* in Biology and four As in Chemistry, German, Maths and Physics.

At a time when the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) reported a decline in the number of students taking modern foreign languages, 100% of Gresham’s pupils who took French and German this year achieved an A*-B.

Gresham’s pupils will leave the school this year to study a diverse and interesting range of subjects which will include Chemistry at the University of Oxford, Anthropology at University College London, Materials Science and Engineering at Imperial College London, History and Sociology at the University of Edinburgh, English and History of Art at the University of York, French and Spanish at Kings College London and Creative Music Technology at Falmouth University.
