On Saturday 6th May sixty pupils from Gresham’s had the privilege of travelling to Welford Road the home of Leicester Tigers.

The boys were there to help launch the new Tigers rugby shirt for 2013-14 and carried an 18 meter by 15 meter replica on to the pitch as the players ran out for the match.

As the boys entered the stadium carrying the shirt they were thrilled to get a cheer from the crowd.

When their duties were done they retired to the stands to watch Old Greshamian’s Ben and Tom Youngs of Aylsham, who were recently selected for the British Lions tour to Australia.  A try from Ben and some huge hits from Tom livened up the afternoon as the boys cheered on Leicester to a win.
