Group’s donation to clinic
A GP surgery in Cromer has received a donation to help pay for a vital piece of equipment used to diagnose and treat asthma.
The Cromer Group Practice Patients Participation Group raised £1,400 towards its cost, mostly through the sale of donated books.
The presentation was made at the clinic last month, when members of the group were shown how the FeNO (fractional exhaled nitrous dioxide) machine would be used.
Simple and non-invasive, the test takes only a few minutes and improves diagnostic accuracy, guides treatment decisions and monitors asthma control.
It can be used on adults and children, and helps reduce unnecessary steroid use.

Practice manager Lauren Goodchild said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank our PPG group for their generous donation towards the FeNO machine – their support is greatly appreciated.”
Cromer Group Practice PPG is made up of patients who work to help the staff and other patients at the surgery.
It is looking for more members who, as well as fundraising, bring new ideas to help things run smoothly.
