North Norfolk District Council wants to hear from Holt residents on a draft development plan for land at Heath Farm and Hempstead Road, in the town.

A consultation will run from Monday, April 15, until Monday, May 13, including an opportunity for members of the public to discuss proposals for the site with planning officers at a drop-in exhibition at St Andrews Church Hall, Holt, on Tuesday, on Tuesday, April 30 (3-7pm).

The site was  formally adopted by the council in February 2011 in its development plan for the district, which identified a variety of sites for housing, employment and other uses.

The 18-hectare site between the A148 Cromer Road and Hempstead Road could provide up to 290 new homes, including many affordable homes, employment development, public open space and community facilities including new allotments.

Those unable to attend the drop-in event can see details of the draft development brief at Holt Library from April 24 until the end of the consultation period.

The document and further information can be found at: www.northnorfolk.org/majordevelopments.

Comments on the development brief should be received by Monday 13 May, addressed to: Major Developments Team, North Norfolk District Council, Holt Road, Cromer, NR27 9EN or by email to majordevelopments@north-norfolk.gov.uk
