Norfolk police are warning motorists to take care on the county’s roads in high winds which are expected to affect the county this afternoon (Wednesday 9 July) and overnight into tomorrow morning (Thursday 10 July).

The Met Office has advised that the county could experience winds of up to 50mph, which could make driving conditions difficult.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys, reduce their speed, leave greater distances between themselves and the vehicle in front and be aware of the possibility of debris on the road.

Motorists should tune into local media channels and monitor social media for traffic updates for the latest updates.
