A show celebrating the music of a rock icon has been cancelled this evening (March 16) due to the injury of one of the musicians.
One of the keyboard players on The Meatloaf Story has been involved in a road accident breaking his leg and wrist.
Steve Steinman, who masterminded and stars in the show, said: “There is not the time to arrange another player for Norwich. I have been ill and two other key members of the cast have also suffered injuries so it has been a tough time. It is the first time in 30 years of touring that I have had to cancel shows. I am very sorry if you have made plans to come and see us.”
The box office team at Norwich Theatre Royal are in the process of contacting all bookers to tell them the show is off.
In the next few days, they will also all receive a letter with details of a full refund for their tickets.
John Bultitude, of Norwich Theatre Royal, said: “Our message is don’t call us. We will call you. Staff here will telephone everyone as quickly as possible to let them know the show is off.”
