It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Nobody could fail to notice how festive Wroxham Road is looking again this year and, as usual, it’s all down to Sprowston’s Krissie Stone.
“I started early this year,” she said.
“I put some lamppost covers on the posts near St Cuthbert’s the day before their Christmas Fair, and I’ve worked my way to the Blue Boar end. Most are up on the lampposts and there are just a few more to do!”
This is the fourth year Krissie has gone out with her decorations, which she does to “make people smile”.
She likes doing it, but said she would be grateful for any red material as she has stopped using tinsel.
As well as Krissie’s decorations, Lorna Brigden has decorated the tops of the post boxes with festive scenes showing Santas, Christmas trees and snowmen.
They have become an attraction, with some people coming to Sprowston just to see how many they can spot.
