The team behind the event includes Rock the Lobster’s Malcolm Birtwell, Future radio presenter Nigel Pearce and Pam Kilgour.

Nigel, who presents the Monday morning session live at 9.30am to noon on Future Radio 107.8FM, said: “This event should be a great success. Motorhead, Hawkwind, The Rolling Stones, Slade,The Who, Souxsie and the Banshees, Sham 69, The Clash, The Stranglers and Slade were just some of the super-groups who played there when touring Britain.”

It is planned to have a display of memorabilia and photographs of some of the artists who played there on show. If you have anything you’d like to share with others please bring it along on the night. The Pavilion was demolished in 1986 to make way for property developments. Demand for tickets is expected to be high and there are only 250 available

Tickets are available from  Malcolm via or call 01263 821838. They are priced at £2.50 each if collected, £3.25 each if posted and £4.50 on the night.
