King of the baking trays Paul Hollywood has set many a lip quivering over the past few weeks as he and fellow judge Mary Berry have delivered their verdicts on the merits of some exquisite confections from contestants in TV’s Great British Bake-Off.

Now Paul is preparing to deliver his verdict on some great Norfolk bakes when he visits Norwich Theatre Royal for his British Baking Live tour on December 8, 7:30pm.

A limited number of additional tickets have just been released for a special VIP package at the theatre during which the VIP ticket holders, if they wish, can bring their own bakes to the pre-show event.

The exclusive package, which costs £75 per ticket, includes a top price seat, meet and greet with Paul Hollywood for an hour before the show, a goody bag and a glass of champagne.

Now added to the package is a Bring Your Bake option in which ticket holders will have the chance to have one of their bakes judged by Paul himself. The production team will pick the best three for him to sample before one is named Bake of the Day.

It will form part of his stage show British Baking Live which sees the housewives’ favourite demonstrating recipes, revealing the secrets of being a TV chef and taking the audience on a journey through his life in the cookery world.

Audience members will get an insight into Paul’s life and career which has seen him become a household name – from the story of how his father persuaded him to ditch his path as a trained sculptor and join the family baking business to tales of his time as head baker at some of the world’s most exclusive hotels. It will also feature anecdotes from his time filming on television with leading veteran cookery writer and broadcaster Mary Berry.

He will demonstrate up to four of his favourite recipes and the audience will also have the chance to put questions to him.

Paul cannot wait to head to Norwich as part of his latest tour. He said: “I was amazed at how much fun and how knowledgeable our audiences were on my first tour.

“I had such a great time that we decided to do it all again and I can’t wait to meet people in places like Norwich which I did not manage to get to last time around.”
