Lifeboat crew goes from high seas to bowling green
Cromer Marrams Bowls Club has been delighted to welcome a very special group onto the green this summer — the crew of Cromer RNLI.
For six weeks, the crew swapped their boat for bowls, taking part in Bowls Bash, the new, fast-paced version of the game.
Allan Harvey, the club chairman, said: “What makes Bowls Bash different from traditional bowls is its simplicity. Games are short, equipment is provided, and anyone can pick it up within minutes — making it perfect for groups, families, and individuals who just want to try something new.
“At Cromer Marrams, we’ve seen firsthand how a community group like the RNLI can benefit. “For them, it was a way to unwind together after long days of training and service.
“For others, it might be a chance to meet new friends, strengthen bonds with work colleagues, or simply enjoy a welcoming evening out in the heart of Cromer.”
