This year’s Cromer Lifeboat Open Day, which was due to be held on May 24, has been cancelled – along with two other events – due to the coronavirus restrictions.

The Family Church Service, on Sunday, July 12, and the popular Lifeboat Day, on July 26, have also been cancelled.

Derek Hinds, chairman of the Cromer RNLI management group said: “This has been a difficult decision to make and we are well aware how disappointed everyone will be, but in the light of the current health situation we were left with no choice but to cancel.

“We wish to thank all the stallholders and the supporters of our Lifeboat Day for the assistance that they give us in our fundraising and we look forward to seeing everyone when we hold our next Lifeboat events.”
