Social distancing and rules to stay at home didn’t stop Sheringham residents from celebrating the 75th anniversary of VE Day in proper style.

Sticking strictly to the lockdown restrictions, carefully spaced “street parties” took place around the town in gardens and cul-de-sacs, and photographer Chris Taylor sent us these fabulous photos showing people enjoying themselves in the sunshine.

Union flags, bunting and red white and blue outfits were to the fore, and cake, tea – and often something a little stronger – helped the afternoon go with a swing.
