It’s time to get your running shoes on and register for the 2016 Hunny Bell Cross Country.
This year’s event will be held on Sunday, February 28, on the Stody Estate, near Holt.
For the 10th year in a row, the race, said to be one of the best, and toughest events of its kind in Norfolk, is being hosted by Break charity to help its young people.
There will be four categories:
9am: Under 13s, 2.4 miles, £5 entry.
9.30am: Under 17s, 2.6 miles, £8 entry
10am: Seniors / Veterans (over 50s) 5.1 miles, £10 entry pre-registered, £15 on the day per person.
Runners, however, can enter for free if they can raise a minimum of £20 sponsorship.
Team runners will register as an individual and then choose the team category too. The three best times on the day will be used to score the teams. There is no limit to the amount of participants for this.
The Hunny Bell Cup will be presented to the adult with the best time. There are also prizes for winners in every category and a medal for every runner.
The race is supported by the North Norfolk Beach Runners and this year the event will be using Total Race Timing for race times and photos.
The run will be alongside the The Hunny Bell Dog Walk 2016. Walkers can join Hunny Bell pub dog Sheamus and friends to raise funds.
Dog walkers who register in advance can park at The Hunny Bell before they off at 10.15am along the 2.5-mile route.
This event for our four-legged friends is supported by GJL Animal Feeds.
Entry is £10 for dog and walker pre-registered, £15 on the day.

Pre-registration is recommended online at www.break-charity.org.
