Man and woman charged following North Walsham hit and run

Detectives have charged a man and a woman in connection with a hit and run incident in North Walsham in July.
Darren Blackmore, aged 43 and of Laburnham Close in Wymondham, has been charged with one count of Grievous Bodily Harm with intent, two counts of attempted Grievous Bodily Harm and one count of dangerous driving.

Sammi Horner, aged 35 and of Market Place in North Walsham, has been charged with encouraging an offender under Section 45 of the Serious Crime Act.

The charges are in connection with a hit and run incident in the Vicarage Car Park in North Walsham at 12.55am on Saturday 23 July 2016.

Officers released CCTV footage of the incident in August as part of a witness appeal.
It showed a 30-year-old man walking through the car park with two friends when he was hit by a car. He suffered a broken pelvis and serious leg injuries.

Blackmore has been remanded into custody and will appear at Norwich Magistrates Court on Thursday 24 November 2016. Horner has been released on police bail and will also appear at Norwich Magistrates Court on Thursday 24 November.
