With just over two weeks to go before the London Marathon, Jason Gibbons has already smashed his fundraising target before even putting on his running shoes.
Jason will be taking part in his first marathon, and although he is a keen runner, having competed in several local halves and shorter distances, this is the longest he has ever run.
And he has had to fit his training in around his two jobs in the town, as a butcher at Coxfords and as a firefighter at the Aylsham station.

RUNNING MAN: Jason Gibbons is taking part in this year’s London Marathon.

“I have been training hard – a lot of early morning runs and late night runs so I can fit everything in,” he said.
He is raising money for the Fire Fighters Charity, which helps and supports serving and retired firefighters and their families and is a cause close to Jason’s heart.
“They do such great work I wanted to help in some way,” he said.
He set a target of £1,900 and he has already raised more than £2,000 from pledges, a car wash, a cake stall and a collection pot in the town.
And he will be taking plenty of support with him, including his family and other members of the Aylsham Runners – some of whom will also be in the race on Sunday, April 21.
“I don’t really have a time in mind, I just want to enjoy the occasion,” said Jason. “It’s not every day you get to do this so I just want to finish.”
