Mighty Hikers go the extra mile to fight cancer
About 4,000 hikers have done something Mighty for Macmillan by taking on the charity’s Norfolk Coast Mighty Hike.

Tackling challenging terrain, the Mighty Hikers walked either 13 or 26 miles – from Blakeney or Holkham Hall to Cromer – and have so far raised more than £1.7m to help fund Macmillan Cancer Support information and services for people living with cancer.
The Norfolk Coast event has become the charity’s biggest Mighty Hike to date – both in the number of hikers taking part and in the amount raised.
Helen Hancock, challenge events team manager at Macmillan Cancer Support, said: “We want to say a massive thank-you to everyone involved for their amazing support and for braving the breathtakingly beautiful but physically challenging Norfolk Coast Mighty Hike.
“We’re so very grateful for everyone’s efforts to raise vital funds for Macmillan and our work to support people living with cancer.”
Although the blisters are still healing, the waiting list is already open for the 2026 event.
The hikes are a series of one-day half and full-marathon fundraising challenges, running from May through to September.
