New café set to open
A new community café which provides a safe and welcoming space for people in Costessey is being launched in St Helen’s Church.
The Costessey Community Cafe is set to open for the first time on Thursday, September 3, with plans to open every Thursday from 11am to 2.30pm.

The café offers the chance to meet new people and make new friends.
Hot and cold drinks, soup, sandwiches and toasties will be available (including gluten-free and dairy-free), along with a warm welcome. As a not-for-profit organisation, drinks and snacks will be provided on a ‘pay what you can’ basis.
All the staff are volunteers from St Helen’s and St Edmund’s Church in Gurney Road, and the café will make good use of the church’s newly refurbished kitchen.
There is plenty of car parking space and modern accessible toilets.
