A new course is being launched for young people at The Atrium in North Walsham.  The ‘making music with technology’ course starts on Tuesday 4 June. Priced at £12 for six weeks, the course will run every Tuesday from 4 June until 9 July, 6pm – 8pm.

The weekly sessions are aimed at 13 – 18 year olds and have been designed to help young people create rock, pop and urban tunes with computer software and the help of expert tutors from Community Music East.  Activities will include audio recording, working with special effects and virtual synthesisers and drum programming.

The course at The Atrium is the latest in a programme of workshops that are being delivered by Community Music East (CME), with funding from North Norfolk District Council.  CME will be extending its music programme at The Atrium in the summer with ‘Rock Camp’ and DJ skills workshops.

Community Music East has received funding from national charity Youth Music to help raise the creative aspirations of young people across the district by offering broad opportunities ranging from learning how to create different styles of music to managing and promoting a music event.

To secure your place, call Clara Wiseman at Community Music East on 01603 283379, visit www.cme.org.uk or email enquiries@cme.org.uk for more information.
