North Walsham bed and breakfast owner Jenny Harmer is building on her success by upgrading her business and raising money for a good cause.

Jenny has been running Chimneys B&B for 13 years and decided on a new direction as she looked for challenges.

She said: “I decided to upgrade to luxury B&B and shall be offering afternoon tea to guests and their associates on a daily basis. We have a very pretty large garden, ideal for sitting out enjoying the good life.”

Jenny is also hoping an event to launch the new service will help raise vital funds for ovarian cancer research.

She is holding a Chimneys afternoon tea on June 14, with “bubbles and Buble”.

Local singer Dale Bullimore will be performing his Buble tribute act in the garden, there will be craft and local homemade goods stalls and Chimneys Afternoon Tea for £15 a head, including a glass of bubbly.

Jenny has been raising money for many years for ovarian cancer as a keen runner.

“I ran every day at least two miles, and sometimes considerably more for ovarian cancer research and this year sees me running in the Great North Run for the same charity which is close to my heart.”

She added: “I hate going around with sponsorship forms and felt it might be more fun to hold an event for this charity towards my run and let everyone see what we have to offer.”

She said posh frocks and fascinators were optional for the event but she thought it might be great to get dressed up.

Tickets must be bought in advance. See more at www.chimneysbb.co.uk or call Jenny on 01692 406172 or mobile 07450 581277
