North Walsham entertainer Ev Boothby is planning to set up a charity in memory of Ryan Wright, the young Neuroblastoma sufferer who recently lost his fight for life.
Ev had planned a variety tour with his drama group The West End of Walsham to raise money for the youngster and will now be carrying on with the show as a tribute to Ryan. All of the funds will be going toward his funeral, his headstone and a tribute to him like a climbing frame in the local park. Ev will be using the remaining funds to launch the charity Ryan’s Wish to support other families and their children who are suffering from the disease.
“I really want to make a difference to how the NHS looks at young children suffering Neuroblastoma and other forms of childhood cancer. Unfortunately little Ryan lost his battle with cancer May 17 but his life and story has been an absolute inspiration to many people.”
The tour began on May 17 in Mundelsley and dates coming up include Saturday, May 25, at Sheringham Community Centre, May 31 in Holt Community Centre, Friday, June 7, at North Walsham Community Centre (all 7pm) and Saturday, June 16 at The Talk in Oak Street, Norwich, 4pm. It’s billed as a date of fun, comedy, song and dance .

The booking line is 07586 418139. Tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for children.
