Jason Bell was outside Cromer Museum was launching MyHigh.St/Cromer, East Anglia’s first e-commerce town site. He became an  “i-Crier” as he read a specially-commissioned proclamation announcing the new online market.

“I bid you welcome to beautiful Cromer High Street, a ‘gem’ of a place to visit, to browse and to meet.  Today is the day that this great High Street goes online becoming the first in Norfolk, I believe you will find.”

He added: “Today is about more than me just being vocal – it is about helping our local shops stay, local.  Binging new customers on foot and on line, with MyHigh everything will be fine.  So we all should celebrate today, cause now our high street is just a click away.”

MyHigh.St/Cromer has launched with 15 shops and more than 1,100 products.  It joins a fast-growing network of digital High Streets including Stroud, Wells and Bristol Old City.
