Police appeal for witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fight involving two men in Hoveton.

The incident happened on Sunday, May 10, between 3pm and 3.30pm when two men were involved in an altercation in a layby on Stalham Road.

The victim, an 18-year-old man, suffered as broken finger after being hit with an iron bar before the suspect left the scene in a car.

Inquiries led officers to arrest a 43-year-old man on suspicion of assault occasioning GBH and he was questioned at Aylsham Police Investigation Centre.

Traffic had to stop to avoid the men and officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have been travelling in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident.
