It was a different Easter from the ones they have been used to, but before the schools closed for most pupils, children in Year 2 at Cecil Gowing Infant School enjoyed a day of craft and Easter joy with members of Sprowston Methodist Church.

Headteacher Isabel Stubbs said the event had become a bit of a tradition and the children really looked forward to the activities arranged by the group.

“They appreciate the time this takes, and each year we are all amazed by their creativity,” she said. “They learn about the Easter story and enjoy decorating biscuits, making Easter cards and a whole range of other crafts.”

Youngsters from Cecil Gowing Infant School had a lovely time enjoying a day of crafts and biscuit-making with Sprowston Methodist Church.

She added that the highlight, as always, was the Easter egg hunt in the garden – and this year the sun shone too.

“A big thank you to you all and we hope to see you all soon!” she said.
