Results day celebrations for students

Students at Hellesdon High School and Hellesdon Sixth Form have had plenty to celebrate with the arrival of their A-level and GCSE results.

The school and sixth form, both members of the Wensum Trust, were buzzing when the envelopes were opened and students got to share their grades with their friends and family.

Richard Taylor, Sixth Form Director, said: “Results day is always both an exciting and anxious time for students and it was great to see a good number today collecting their results – the happy faces being the result of a lot of hard work over the two years at Hellesdon Sixth Form.

“Overall results were very positive across both academic and vocational courses, allowing students to progress positively onto their next steps at university or into apprenticeships and employment. As always, my thanks to colleagues, both teaching and non-teaching, as well as parents and carers for all their support of our students.”

Among the sixth form’s high achievers for 2025 were Elana B, Evelyn B, Isabel F, Evie L and Alana W who all achieved A*AA. Zakk B was awarded three As, Megan H had 3 As and a B and Hilal C received three distinctions.

Mike Earl, principal at Hellesdon High School, praised the GCSE students for their hard work and dedication.

He said: “They have worked incredibly hard throughout the year and truly deserve the results they’ve achieved. Their hard work and commitment have paid off, and these results are a testament to their resilience, determination, and passion to succeed.

“As they move forward to the next chapter — whether it’s at sixth form, college, apprenticeships, or stepping into the workplace – we wish them all the very best for the future. We have no doubt they will continue to achieve their goals and make a positive impact in whatever path they choose.
“We also like to take a moment to thank the teachers, mentors, and families who have supported them along the way. Your guidance and encouragement have been crucial to their success.”
