Sheringham Lifeboat was launched just after 9pm on Tuesday to assist in the search for a missing person.

Following a complicated search on a dismal dark night the casualty was eventually located 400 metres west of Sheringham Lifeboat station at the toe of the cliff by an alert searcher. The casualty was assessed and stabilised on site, secured in an RNLI stretcher and then carried to the lifeboat from whence he was transported to Sheringham west Fisherman’s beach in the centre of town where he could be accessed by the paramedics.

The casualty was taken by ambulance to arrive to Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
