Star of War Horse film to appear at Blickling Proms
Organisers of Last Night of the Blickling Proms have announced a very special guest appearance to this year’s event on Saturday 9th August.
Augustus, the 7 year old, 14.3hh horse that starred as the young Joey in the 2011 classic Steven Spielberg blockbuster War Horse, lives in Suffolk and will be making a special visit to Blickling as part of the event’s commemoration of 100 years since the start of World War I. War Horse, which was nominated for 6 Academy Awards, 2 Golden Globe Awards and 5 BAFTAs, was an adaptation of British author Michael Morpurgo’s 1982 children’s novel of the same name, set before and during the First World War.
Tickets (£33 in advance or £36 on the night) are available online at www.revival-productions.co.uk or call the box 01263 734711; group discounts up to 20% are available. No booking fees and Car Parking is FREE.
