No need to pull your hair out trying to keep the children engaged this summer because North Norfolk District Council’s sports and countryside staff have created a programme of events that kicks off next week.

Cycling, football, nature trails, pirates, American sports, butterfly identification, dodgeball, trampolining, archery, street dance, marine conservation, rounders, rifle shooting and a special beach Olympics day are just a few of the options. And they are all £2.50 for a session.

There are also beach activities at East Runton, Cromer, Mundesley and West Runton, while Challenge 22 offers a whole week of fun games, sports and activities at North Walsham Sports Centre from August 8-12, finishing with an adventure activity trip on the Friday. The week £90 for more than 30 hours of sports and games.

Becky Palmer, Cabinet Member for Leisure, said: “This year’s range of summer activities is incredible. Whether your kids want to test mind or body – their aim, dodging, speed or team skills; whether they fancy a go at trampolining or shooting, Capture the Flag or survival in the wild, we’ve got it all. Many activities can be booked in advance, so don’t leave it too late, book today to make sure your kids have a great summer.”

The activities start next week and run through to the end of August. They are aimed at different age groups plus some activities for the whole family.
