Since, April 2, police have received numerous reports on suspicious flying activity around areas of North East Norfolk. This has included unusual night time flying, continuous circling of areas and a night time landing on a rural airstrip.

Enquiries by police and the UK Border Force have now established that the aircraft involved was carrying out legitimate surveying activity and all reports of suspicious activity have been accounted for.

We would like to thank people who have reported this activity to us and also those who had spread the word to others. This has reinforced the ethos of Project Pegasus and the importance of you, the aviation community, in helping to combat potential illegal activity.

However, we still encourage people to remain vigilant and continue to report unusual activity.
